The Testing Laboratory performs the analytic tasks related to the basic research and developement assignments of the institute furthermore, it fulfills other analytic duties of external requests. The scope of the Laboratory includes:

  • Physical and chemical analysis of waters, sample collection
  • Physical and chemical analysis of soils
  • Physical and chemical analysis of plants
  • Physical and chemical analysis of meats

Accredited test methods, measured parameters

In the case of surface water, groundwater or polluted water: pH, conductivity, CODMn, CODCr, BOD5, total particulate material, ignition loss of particulate material, alkalinity, ammonium ion, nitrite ion, nitrate ion, total nitrogen, ortophosphate ion, total phosphorus, phenol index, sulphide ion, total dissolved material, chloride ion, sulphate ion, total carbonate and non-carbonate hardness, analysis of trace elements: As, B, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, P, Pb, S, Se, Zn.

In the case of on-site water sampling: pH, conductivity, oxidation-reduction potential, dissolved oxygen

In the case of soil and channel deposit examination: pH(H2O), pH(KCL), soil water-capacity, total water-soluble salts content, CaCO3, humus, nitrite ion, nitrate ion, phosphorus-pentoxide, potassium oxide, analysis of trace elements: As, Cd, Cr, Cu, K, Mg, Na, Ni, Pb, Zn.

In the case of examination of plants: Kjeldahl-nitrogen, analysis of trace elements: As, Ca, Co, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, P, S, Zn.
